Our licensed Practitioners devote
many hours to learning and practicing the Science of Mind
philosophy. They serve as lay ministers for our church,
and perform counseling and prayers for our congregation
after the Sunday service. They are available at other times

Joy Parrish, RScP
Rev. Joy Parrish was introduced to Religious
Science in 1977 in San Diego when she attended a seminar
entitled "How to Achieve Success" with Rev.
Terry Cole Whitaker. When Joy learned that Terry was
a minister, she knew she had to attend her church because
her words resonated with what Joy believed. She attended
classes and became a member of the La Jolla Church of
